It is to be emphasised that this is not a holiday but a working/ learning environment which will require a nighttime curfew. This will ensure students are attentive, not fatigued during the day and in a position to complete all tasks, as required.
- Math prerequisites: Students will need to be capable of solving basic algebraic equations, and open to problem solving with other classmates. A basic familiarity with trigonometry - only sine and cosine - may be helpful. But it is also fine if the student hasn't worked with trigonometry, as we will be presenting a brief intro/review of the subject in the first two days of the course. The ability to use all basic functions of a calculator would be preferable.
- General health should be good as the learning requires a reasonable level of physical, emotional and intellectual endurance and maturity.
- The students need to be at least in the year they turn 16 (15 going on 16). Exceptions won't be made, as the content is designed for a particular age. Older students can be part of this lesson.
- No mobiles/laptops or other electronic equipment will be allowed unless required for classroom learning.
- All students and parents will need to sign and submit all forms - student/parent agreement, medical history, camp rules and media consent forms, on this site. They need to be downloaded, printed, filled in, signed and scanned/mailed after the registration.
- Any major damage to the equipment caused by the students, will have to be paid for by the parents, to repalace/ repair the damaged instruments. However, we have never had a case where this was necessary, so far.
- Students will need to have travel / medical insurance policies to cover unforseen events.
